Immunizations
The University of Michigan Visiting Nurses is pleased to offer flu and pneumonia
shots throughout the 2007/2008 flu season. Flu shots are $33 and pneumonia shots
are available for $84. The University of Michigan Visiting Nurses Immunization
program accepts Medicare Part B, Blue Care Network, CareChoices, Health Alliance
Plan, and Priority Health insurances, all of which cover the entire cost of the
flu shot. Other payment options include cash, check and credit card.
Flu
and pneumonia shots are available by appointment only. There are no public
clinics scheduled at this time. Please contact Tracy Newhouse at (734) 477-7229

Michigan Visiting Nurses offers meningitis
vaccination (Menactra) for students entering college and high school as
recommended by the CDC. Meningitis vaccination is $115. Fees can be paid by
cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or UM student
account.
Vaccinations are provided at the following locations:

University of Michigan residence halls and public locations in August and September. Patients who are below the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature before the vaccine can be administered. If a parent or guardian will not be with the patient at the clinic, the patient must bring a signed copy of the U of M Meningitis Consent form (PDF).
